A.J. Bingham is the Founder and CEO of The Bingham Group LLC, a full-service lobbying firm working on municipal, legislative and regulatory matters throughout Texas. Bingham talks about state politics and the challenges for part-time legislators and lobbyists in the vast geography of Texas during the 140-day legislative session every other year.
- A.J. is from Austin, Texas - he's a proud Austinite.
- Bingham attended Wake Forest University for a B.A. in Political Science and obtained his J.D. from Washburn University School of Law.
- A.J.’s first job in government was in HIGH SCHOOL, working at the Texas Department of Transportation.
- His first professional government job was with the Texas State Senate, with the non-partisan, Senate Research Center.
- After law school A.J. worked at a contract lobbying firm, McWilliams Government Affairs Consulting.
- He transitioned to a trade association, Real Estate Council of Austin, a municipal firm focused on land development in the booming city of Austin.

The Bingham Group is in a unique position in Austin, the capital of Texas, where they can work on both State legislation and municipal lobbying. A.J. pulls on his deep ties to the Austin community, having a greater lay of the land to deliver to clients.
