Today we sit down with David Quam, Counsel and Co-leader of the Dentons 50 Network. David has an impressive résumé, and it’s clear from the start that he loves what he does. David talks to us about his time at the National Governor’s Association, the Dentons 50 Network, and the unexpected job offer that led him to a career in government relations.

- David attended Duke University for his undergraduate studies and went on to Vanderbilt Law School, where he earned his J.D.
- After finishing law school, David moved to Maryland where he practiced law.
- After an unexpected job offer, David started working for the Senate Judiciary Committee. This career move sparked his interest in government and politics.
- Following his time with the Senate Judiciary Committee, David started working for the National Governors Association, where he served as the Director of the Office of Federal Relations and Deputy Executive Director.
- After 13 years at the National Governors Association, David moved to Dentons, where he serves as Co-leader of the Dentons 50 Network.
