Welcome back to another episode of The Political Life! Today, Jim meets with Caroline Carlson and Jennifer Stowe to talk about the upcoming NCSL Legislative Summit! This year, the event will take place August 1st through 3rd in beautiful Denver, Colorado!

As director of foundation programs, Caroline Carlson leads the over $4 million in fundraising efforts, board director engagement and award management of the NCSL Foundation for State Legislatures. Carlson marks 21 years with the organization after leading fundraising efforts for 18 years. An admirer of the public policy process, Carlson received her master's degree in public affairs from Indiana University, Bloomington and a bachelor's of science in political science from James Madison University in Virginia.

Jennifer L. Stowe is the Vice President, Government Relations for The Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI) in the Washington, DC area office.  CRI is the trade association with responsibility for representing U.S. manufacturers of carpets and rugs. Her responsibilities include federal, state, and local government relations as well as interaction with government agencies and other Washington-based trade associations. She holds a B.A. degree in Spanish and Latin American Studies from The Pennsylvania State University.
