Greg Rogers is the Public Policy Manager at Nuro, a company focused on unlocking the benefits of robotics for everyday life. In 2017, Greg co-founded The Mobility Podcast, a podcast that explores the intersections between transportation, technology, and policy. In the same year, Greg co-founded Connected CarTalkDC, a network of hundreds of transportation and technology professionals who meet regularly in Washington, DC.

Before joining Nuro, Greg was the Director of Government Affairs and Mobility Innovation at Securing America’s Future Energy (SAFE). He specializes in federal and state policies around autonomous vehicles, electric vehicles, and emerging technology. He was previously the Assistant Editor of Eno Transportation Weekly (ETW) and a Senior Policy Analyst at the Eno Center for Transportation, where he reported on transportation policy developments in Congress, the Administration, and state legislatures.

Greg previously worked on both sides of the aisle in the House of Representatives, represented public and private sector clients before Congress and federal agencies for government affairs firms, and helped guide POLITICO Pro’s expansion into federal and state government markets.

A burgeoning interest in transportation technology led Greg to make a career pivot several years ago. He left behind a career as a government affairs consultant and became an Uber/Lyft driver in order to develop first-hand experience in new mobility. This inspired him to co-found The Autonomer, a news website focused on automation and transportation policy issues, in 2015.

Greg received his B.A. in Political Economy from the University of California at Berkeley and studied Political Science at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark.

His insights and recommendations for developing sound autonomous vehicle policies have appeared in outlets including Washington Post, WIRED, The Autonocast, Car and Driver, The Verge, and testimonies before Congress.
